Alice - Health Tech
INSTITUTIONAL TRAININGS
Responsibilities: Instructional design.
Audience: Alice employees and partners.
Tools used: Google Workspace, Adobe XD, Octopus framework, Studion.mx.
Methodologies: gamification, storytelling, andragogy,
Client: Alice Health Tech.
Year: 2023
Overview
The client arrived with the challenge of standardizing the knowledge, behavior, tone of voice and way of working of the organization's employees and partners, a Health Tech, healthcare insurance plan, disruptive and growing rapidly.

Together, we defined the solution of 4 online courses, in interactive e-learning format, with videos, podcasts and educational resources, connected by a unique narrative, with gamification mechanics.

PROCESS
ADDIE model
Analysis
As a reference instructional designer for the 4 courses, I conducted interviews with experts and the Alice team, structured the raw content, identified the learning context and forms of engagement. All of this using methodologies suited to the audience profile, content and learning objectives.
Design and Development
At this stage, I organized the content into a product map (instructional design matrix) allocating each information to interactive resources, videos and podcasts within e-learning.
I also created the scripts, with a gamified narrative, in which the user chooses an avatar, and has the mission of obtaining access keys to open the door and enter Casa Alice, where they can join the team. Each access key is obtained after consuming the content and completing the activities in each module.

The narrative uses the organization's pre-existing imagery and concepts to generate engagement and purpose, motivating learning and course completion.
A highlight was the creation of a chat simulator for activities, mirroring the organization's internal chat, used by employees to communicate with each other and with customers.

In this simulator, the user receives messages from fictitious customers, inspired by the customer personas, and needs to respond based on what they learned in the course, aligning their form of communication and procedures according to Alice's tone of voice and internal processes.
Together with the team, we created a prototype of the solution and style guide, validating the general idea with the client, before moving on to implementation.
Implementation
Together with a team made up of project managers, multimedia designers and front-end developers, I followed the implementation process, carrying out validations and providing guidance to ensure the quality of the end user's learning experience.
Assessment
At the end of each module, the student is challenged with a (summative) assessment to check knowledge, based on the Kirkpatrick model.
The format of the assessments was designed to help learning and integrate gamification mechanics.

RESULTS
There were several challenges in the process of structuring the raw content and developing the solutions, which were overcome with a lot of organization, communication between the team and a thorough validation process.

The final solution was well received by the team and the public, unifying training that was previously distributed, hybrid, and disjointed.
